2026 Nordic Conference on PhD Supervision

The second edition of the Nordic Conference on PhD Supervision will be hosted by the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences and Uppsala University between 28-30 September 2026.

This conference aims to deepen the understanding of doctoral supervision in the Nordic countries. As such, it serves as a meeting place for the dissemination of research, as well as for the exchange of experiences and the exploration of opportunities for collaboration among Nordic universities.

The goals of the conference are to:

- highlight and share experiences regarding the current development of doctoral supervision;

-present and discuss new research on supervision;

-jointly analyse the present situation and the future of doctoral supervision, in order to promote and strengthen doctoral education.

This event is open to researchers, doctoral candidates, supervisors, policy makers, educational developers, administrative staff and other stakeholders with an interest in doctoral supervision.
