The EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) actively promotes collaboration and exchange of good practices on issues of common concern. We achieve this by organising a yearly cycle of activities and events that bring together our community of academic leaders and professionals working on doctoral education and research training in Europe. Topics of activities and events are guided by our policy and project work.
Our yearly cycle of activities and events is structured around an annual meeting in June and a thematic workshop in January. Other activities explore new topics and provide follow-up to issues of common concern, notably including regular focus groups and webinars. The global strategic forum provides a global perspective on European developments by bringing together academic leaders and professionals from other parts of the world.
Hosted by TBC, TBC
Thematic Peer Groups (TPGs) organised by the EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) provide participating member universities with an opportunity for mutual learning on selected topics. They contribute to a common knowledge base on doctoral education structures, policies and practices in Europe.
This TPG on career development and tracking will focus on the collection and usage of career data in doctoral education. It will take stock of the different approaches and methods of career tracking that have been implemented. In addition, the discussion will also include attention to the challenge of using the collected data to develop evidence-based career development support.
A call for participation for this TPG will open later this year. If you wish to receive updates concerning the event, please do not hesitate to contact the EUA-CDE Secretariat at email@example.com.
Hosted by VU Amsterdam, the Netherlands
The Workshop will reflect on how universities can benefit from inter-institutional collaboration and discuss future collaboration opportunities.
